To understand the importance of a Life Mission statement, let's take example from business management!

Importance of Mission Statement in any business:

Most business owners showcase their mission statement prominently in their offices to remind their staff why their organization exists because this is what makes the organization successful. The mission statement serves as a “North Star” that keeps everyone (owners / staff / vendors / associates) clear on the direction of the organization.

A mission statement captures, in a few clearly expressed sentences, the essence of organization's goals and the philosophies underlying them.

Mission and vision statements (we are not dealing with vision statement in this course) play three critical roles: (1) clarify and communicate the purpose of your organization, (2) help in strategy development, and (3) develop measurable goals and objectives by which to gauge the success of your organization.

Now replace word 'organization' with 'life' in above examples and see how this applies to your life mission!
